Lighting Reference

Took those this morning. I have the greatest bitch-fights in my paintings with light, how do muscles get defined, how does it bounce, where are shades etc. I guess many of you know this issue xD That's why-this white beauty is sitting on my lap all day why not take some reference pictures :3 he is white therefore reflects the surrounding and gives a lovely idea of how light affects the body/fur/animal. It was 9.30am, blue, clear sky, sun in the left corner pretty high. I didn't do any pimpage to the photos but pulling down the gradient a little to pronounce the shades a bit more.
Floyd is a Dogo Argentino/Pitbull mix and I find he has really well defined muscles and a nice shape showing how a one-sourced light acts with the body. I also love the way his white fur reflects the surrounding, being gras, showing up a blue'ish colour.
Will do more with different times of the day/weather.

Ps. believe me, it is so much better to use a real animal as reference than a Balto, random comic figure, other artist's painting ;3
