yah, I had to have him put down last year in August... He was such a fighter but the last fight he just could not win though he had tried so hard =( He had cancer and he would have died of suffocation which we couldn't bare with only thinking of, so we decided to have him put down bevore that happens (we waited until the signs of him not being able to breath proberly were more than clear) He died in dignity and- very important-peacefully

I remember when we had to put down my oldest dog because of all the pain he was in... So I know how it feels... It''s better to keep them out of pain and to have them die with some happiness left in them... But it's so sad... But they are probably better now... :)

Whee, that is also sooo sad =( but-loving means letting go^^ I would hate the thought of one of my dogs suffering, noway I am taking responsability on that <_<" It is better to send them over the (in Germany we call it Rainbow Bridge) instead of being selfish and not letting them die... I am sure they are better now =)

I feel the same way. Though when it happened I was only... 11? So I was depressed for MONTHS and was mad at my dad for doing it... I know now he's probably better now... ;-;

Oh my! What a belly! I bet he got lots of belly-rubs in his time. :D

Sorry you had to have him put to sleep...I'll bet you miss him lots. :-(

I had my dog put to sleep 6 years ago, and I still miss her every single day. She also had cancer; she eventually went into kidney failure. While it broke my heart to put her to sleep, it was the right thing to do for her.

One thing you'll always have is happy memories. And nothing can take those away! :D
